Our client, a global leader in the supply of chemical and plastics requires an experienced chemical industry sales professional. The successful candidate will manage sales activities of chemical raw materials including resins, pigments and additives to paint and coatings manufacturers in a Dallas, TX based sales territory.
Grow revenue and profit from an existing base of business while generating new leads and closing new sales of specialty chemical raw materials used to make paints, coatings, adhesives and sealants.
Develop successful relationships across multiple levels in the customer's organization with an emphasis on R&D and formulations personnel.
Manage all pricing, sales agreements and contracts.
Create sales reports and manage all customer information via the CRM system.
Develop account plans and coordinate sales activities with other company team members and management.
Bachelor degree; Chemistry or related science major preferred.
At least 10 years experience selling chemical raw materials such as resins, additives, pigments into coatings, adhesive, sealants applications.
Demonstrated success in identifying and closing target accounts.
Strong interpersonal skills in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required.
