Company: For over six decades my client has specialized in custom extruded plastic tubing and plastic profiles. Our reputation of exceptional made-to-order plastic tubing, plastic cores and plastic profiles are largely due to our combination of highly skilled employees and unique extrusion manufacturing techniques. My client utilizes three facilities using extrusion, compounding and an analytical laboratory to specialize in extruded plastic tubing and profiles in a variety of sizes and materials. We have expanded our capabilities, improved our value added services and continue to offer customers a wide range of products. 


Responsibilities: Responsible for working with existing customer accounts, understanding full scope of customer’s business, developing multiple relationships within customer.  Create multi-functional teams from both companies to address cost reduction initiatives and develop new business opportunities to eliminate competitive situations.   Developing new business by working with prospective customers, solving customer complaints and issues, preparing customer sales budgets/forecasts and coordinating sales related activities within my client to drive in new business (Negotiating contracts, pricing decisions, quoting and marketing initiatives).  This position is critical to reaching corporate sales goals and objectives and developing new business for long term growth.


Researches markets
  • Studies and understands potential customers and their needs
  • Determines key players within potential customer organizations
  • Maintains accurate and updated history of client contacts utilizing contact management software
  • Identifies external opportunities and follows up
  • Drive opportunities through company working with manufacturing and NPD
  • Works on larger more complicated projects that require development
  • Develop Sales Contracts/agreements with Customers in conjunction with the Dir. of Sales and Marketing
  • Conducts interviews to understand the client and the opportunities
  •  Builds a rapport and relationship with potential customer
  •  Attends trade shows as needed

Requirements: 
  • 4-year degree in marketing, business or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of business experience in Sales of Business Development fields. 
  • Experience and knowledge of the plastic industry market a plus.
