Great opportunity to join an expanding Chemical Manufacturer in Western KY. As a part of the engineering team, the Chemical Process Engineer will provide technical process support for batch production operations and plant engineering. MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A BATCH CHEMICAL PLANT.
--- BS Chemical Engineering degree with 5-10 years experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, preferably batch processes.
--- Only applicants authorized to legally work in the US without sponsorship can be considered
--- Experience with office computer systems (Microsoft Office Products).
--- Some AutoCAD experience a plus.
--- MOC and some project management experience preferred.
--- Provide process engineering support for projects, unit turnarounds/shutdowns.
--- Writing new and upgrading existing Manufacturing Procedures and batch records.
--- Active participation in the plant safety program. Including conducting safety reviews and audits of existing procedures and processes.
--- Provide technical support of the maintenance and manufacturing groups.
--- Identify and implement cost savings.
--- Investigate process related operational problems and optimization of existing processes.
--- Calculates heat and material balances. Determines ratings for equipment including vessels, exchangers, pumps, etc.
--- Develop equipment maintenance procedures.
--- Prepares equipment specifications, PFD’s, heat and material balances, and P&ID’s for new and existing products.
--- Reviews existing flow sheets, and recommends best operational strategy to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
--- Independently conducts technical and economic studies.
--- Develop and provide technical presentations to management and plant employee training as needed.
