Plant Foreman (PF)- NEED SOMEONE WORKING WITH PLANT MANAGER OR GAS PROCESSING FACILITY-ODESSA TEXAS
Responsibility: The primary responsibility of the plant foreman is to ensure that the operating personnel operate in a safe manner, adhere to policy, and resolve day to day issues that the shift personnel are not capable of resolving. He reports to and is the right-hand of the Plant Manager.
PM Skills: The plant foreman has good people skills and produces an allegiance where the shift workers want to work with and not against him. He creates buy-in and promotes a positive attitude but does not stray from conflict or discipline. The foreman knows the unit and how it works.
PM will help evaluate personnel and coordinate training
PM will serve as a primary troubleshooting resource
push the unit performance, through-put and reliability.
PM will manage shift schedule and resolve (minimize) overtime
PM will work with maintenance manager to ensure all equipment is placed in ready condition
PM will oversee the inventory of materials and chemicals to ensure seamless operation
What does a good Plant Manager look like?
He is predictable and consistent how he treats people; unpredictable when and how he audits their performance and adherence to procedures
He makes rounds and notices what is and isn’t being properly operated and looked after.
He sees problems before they exist through his own set of metrics and measurements
He utilizes everyone to their fullest and knows who is not contributing.
He knows the key parameters for making money and drives the operating core in that direction.
He asks for help and resources when problems are languishing. He asks great questions to get to the heart of a problem.
He is unrelenting at solving the root cause and communicates the solution with everyone
