This person could be located anywhere in the Western Half of the US. The territory will include: WA, OR,NV, CA, NM, AZ, TX, MO.
Innovative and financially stable company with a proven growth history over the past four decades, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to sell wastewater treatment equipment and systems into the municipal and industrial markets, domestically.
This person's mission will be to sell wastewater treatment equipment and processes through regional Independent Sales Representatives. This will include managing representatives on performance, direction and training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell wastewater treatment equipment and processes through regional Independent Sales Representatives.
Serve as the key communication conduit between the Independent Representatives and the company through development of strong relationships.
Responsible for obtaining product sales and expected margins.
Manage representatives including but not limited to: performance, guidance, direction, and training. Also, recommends new and/or replacement representatives and discharging of ineffective representatives.
Develop territory specific marking and product design approach
Responsible for customer relationship management in the respective territory.
Develop, implement, and manage a action plan by project.
Develop and update sales forecasts and target reports.
Attend and participate in trade shows.
Develop, implement, and manage territorial budget, including expense and bookings.
Perform product sales and technical presentation in the field.
Mentor PAE’s to promote their development and understanding of field sales, independent reps, product development bid strategies.
Monitor competitive lines by the independent representatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proven record (3-5 Years minimum) of direct sales growth with primary responsibility on a technical product. Preferably in an environmental industry. Experience with manufacturer’s representatives is a plus.
Up to 50% travel is expected.
Able to read and interpret technical plans and specifications
Knowledgeable of MS Office Software.
