Your unique role within the company:

 Reporting directly to the Lab Director in a new, state-of-the-art facility while working with a team of scientists to ensure that technical service, sales and manufacturing teams receive the accurate and timely laboratory support needed. This position will provide laboratory leadership for technicians and associate scientists. Conduct research on calcium carbonate or products containing calcium carbonate to increase applications for PVC.
  • Work directly with other company functions to determine greatest technical needs
  • Head up laboratory projects utilizing design of experiments
  • Write quality reports detailing the problem, procedure, results and conclusions
  • Show expertise with several analytical and industry specific processing methods
  • Assist in the maintenance, calibration and trouble shooting of laboratory equipment
  • Develop and modify methods and equipment to address technical issues
  • Assist technicians to complete experiments and provide training
What we are looking for in a Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science or engineering discipline
  • Direct experience working with compounders and/or extruders within the PVC market
  • Hands on involvement with calcium carbonites
