Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Eastern NY (bounded by north & south by IS 81), New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia.
We are looking for bright people with the drive to succeed, the ability to work independently, the ability and patience to focus on long term successes instead of short term rejections, and who project a professional image.
Researches and develops lists of potential customers.
Maintains an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect sales to the company’s target markets.
Establishes and maintains industry contacts that lead to sales.
Research customers’ specific needs and requirements.
Works closely with the company’s R&D staff on custom formula development that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Follows up on sales leads and makes cold calls to potential customers to identify new business opportunities.
Develops and delivers sales presentations and closes sales in a professional and effective manner.
Attends trade shows as required to gain leads for new business opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or in business, sales, or marketing with some chemistry courses.
Sales experience in the plastic compounding industry, TPE experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Experience with ACT! a plus.
Must have above average math skills.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
