Job Description
We are searching for a Process Engineer with programming skills (or vice versa) for a top rated food and beverage manufacturer. The company is an internationally known food products one, with a continuous expansion posture, resulting in excellent future advancement possibilities. Relocation assistance is provided. The Process Engineer/Programmer:
-- defines operating parameters of process and packaging systems
-- develops the program logic to support those processes
-- supports project management activities and works closely with Corporate Engineering department
-- is involved heavily in the start-up and commissioning of plant equipment (hands-on type person)
-- is involved with some programming, Control Logix, Wonderware
-- works with servo drives, Panelview, liquid pumping systems, liquid filling systems

Successful candidates will possess:
-- A Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or closely related field
-- If Electrical Engineering degree, needs to have process experience and a mechanical mindset
-- 3-15 years related experience. We will train a 3-5 year person in the programming. Over 5 yrs. experience should be good at PLC programming
-- process experience with fluids or heat transfer, preferably in the food or beverage manufacturing industry
-- strong planning and documentation skills -- exposure to Control Logix 5000 or Wonderware
-- we will consider a non degreed individual with 8+ years experience and possessing process, programming, food or beverage and experience with a successful company Special Note: We are considering candidates with Process Engineering experience and some programming skills, or can also consider a PLC programmer with a good understanding of process engineering who is open to be further (and intensely) trained in process engineering skills.
