Job Purpose
Support manufacturing processes, improve capability, and work to make processes more effective.
Essential Functions of Position
Maintains safety, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties.
Optimizes manufacturing processes to provide sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes
Works with customers to resolve technical/quality issues and provide special products.
Participates in multi-functional teams (industrial staff, R&D, marketing, six sigma, process improvement) to resolve problems and develop new products. Leads where appropriate.
Starts up new products and equipment (supervises installation, troubleshoots initial production, ensures new processes and products meet requirements, documents and transfers to production). \
Required Qualifications:
BS Chemical Engineering or Paper Science plus at least 4 years experience in a process engineering capacity. Demonstrated written and verbal communication. Project Management experience. Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
Six Sigma Green belt certification.
Experience with web handling equipment, PLC programming and troubleshooting and Wonderware.
